Where I stayed
jalam jalam guest house
this is a Muslim country so there will be some things you may need to know, during Ramadan some of the basic services will be interrupted! currently there is breakdown on public transportation, I had to take the shuttle bus some other bust station in order to get to malacca as well as you must make sure that if you go to a Muslim market to buy food donīt even think about eating your meal in there, they will keep on staring at you as if you were a psycho killer!
BE READY TO PAY A FORTUNE FOR ANY KIND OF ALCOHOL
ok then, I have just traveled all the way down to Malacca and It happened to be a pretty hippie place to be honest, it is suppose to be a fairly big city of 700000 people but It seems much smaller to me, probably because I stay in the Chinese district, that means small houses full of details and colors, so far I havenīt been able to wake up early in the morning so no much of photography done yet :( anyway, the hostel and its inhabitants are cool, the owner is the nicest guy ever! he even try to fix my computer to get online, with poor results I have to say..... ok, there is this guy here, Lee, from Korea! a dive instructor whoīs been traveling for THE PAST 5 YEARS! Yeah man! He is such a nice guy, full of good advices and fresh ideas however I guess he is too hippie for me, he told me stories from the Filipin islands that I would rather not write down as It would take the hole day, like that man whoīs been sailing around for 16 years, jajaja, thatīs what I call a life style!
well, I gotta go to do nothing for a while, Itīs too hot to go out and I fancy some conversation with the bunch, a German guy, the Korean one, a Danish lady, a Manchester nice girl and this pretty cool couple from Canada! Canadian always cool as hell!
talk to you soon!
