What I did
Eat the best vegan meal!
Starbucks via...a great way to start the morning!
We woke to gray skies and rain...not to motivated to leave our apartment and hop on the bike...but there are more sights to see!
We shock our taste buds with the spices of India in Salema...and our systems! Must take 2 hour beached whale siesta on the white sands of Portugal!
We follow the Ecovia trail most of the way into Lagos...leap frogging our new German "touron" friends. They had a better map than us...nonetheless we beat them to the city campground. Not that we were competing!
The campground is so Euro...right in the middle of town, steps from the ocean and old "walled city". I commence camp construction and Chris diligently retrieves our ritual white wine to toast to our travels.
"Would you like to try the TaiFun?" Chris asks me...'Ummm, Sure...why not?"
One puff, 30 second hold, giggle giggle, slightly paranoid, mushroomy, floaty, silly, a little psychedelic, funny 30 minute trip...ok, I like this! I mean...I REALLY like this!
We stumble across the best vegan vittles on the trip. Let me tell ya, you may not know it at the time when your are actually eating "the best" olive or the best tomato but, I know it was the best meal because we didn't bring Chris's camera! The waiter is amazing...he senses our buzz I am sure and hones in on our taste...local wine(s) paired perfectly with organic, raw, vegan fare! Where am I??? Oh yes...Restaurante Escole de Cozinha Enteca...or, for short; Espaco Xarme. Either way, we feasted on gazpacho with cucumber and mint "ice cream" decorated with crispy bread; orange carpaccio with fig and almond drizzled with local olive oil, mint, and cinnamon, and for our main course; grilled veggies with integral rice and salad. Tummy and taste buds totally satisfied!
Tonight, Thai Fun Tent Time! XXX... Censored for your own mental creations...your welcome.
We stay in Lagos for 2 nights...yes...
