São Paulo is big! Yes, you can imagine, but it is the second or third biggest city in the world. It was quite a challenge everyday. Sampa is not prepared on my opinion to cop with all its inhabitants. The metro is packed most of the time and I had to wait around 15 minutes to get to the place I stayed. Thanks to Silvio, I was staying at Valentin and Teresa's. An old retired couple who lived in São Paulo for 50 years. You can imagine that they know everything about the city, even if they don't go out often. But I got the whole story of Brazil told, all the presidents, the good and bad ones. I had a deep look into the culture. Well, after 10 minutes of telenovela at night, I escaped. For me it's unbearable.
Anyway, there are plenty of things to do in the big city. Plenty of cultural things happening, many museums to visit. I left the city feeling like I didn't see half of it. I would recommend to visit it but it was also good to have a break on the coast for a couple of days. I saw some more of Niemeyer work. Now I know almost all his work in Brazil. He is a big architect. I enjoyed the big park inside the city. I even went to play basketball there. Unfortunately, I was out of shape. I could only play one game. But it was great. I could also meet up again with Renata that I met in my first flight to Brazil. She was very nice and we had a superb evening in Vila Madalena with 10 of her friends. Very braziliand night. I also met Gilda, the italian girl I met in Olinda who gave me a book in portuguese. I am reading it now. I have to say it quite difficult.
