Where I stayed
Our place on Sundance Lane in Winter Haven X
What I did
Lots of fun at Waterball and card games with friends
I can hardy believe that I haven't written anything for several weeks. Mardi Gras was a popular theme for a few events including a fun parade all around the park, it was rather amazing how much creativity and fun was had by all, not to mention, lots of bead-throwing!
As our Winter Texan season starts winding down, there's been a flurry of 'block' parties and any other excuse for getting together with friends around Winter Haven..... plus, as the sign says... It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere!
We had a lovely cocktail party at Ron and Gloria's place, mostly with our Waterball gang.
Our waterball games have had lots of players and the weather has co-operated pretty well, too. We mostly play Girls against the Boys (however, sometimes the Girls outnumber the Boys, so 1 or 2 of us gals play on their side). There's no rules to the game, except to have fun, and there's no scoring (but, the Girls always win)!
We have about 25+ people who like to play Ponytail Hand & Foot Canasta every Monday evening and many of us also play on other nights, as well, plus there's also Dominoes, 'Nickel-Nickel', card-bingo, regular bingo and a lot more. Terry plays other card games like Bridge, Pinochle and Cribbage, and also plays golf and sometimes pool, too.
It seems there's always something going on at the Clubhouse, such as, Wednesday night dinner and entertainment; Thursday BBQs; Friday afternoon Jam sessions (with lots of talent); followed by potluck dinners; Saturday night dances and Sunday ice cream socials. So, as you can see, we do keep busy and there's seldom any boredom!
