Where I stayed
Bay View RV Park
We drove to Rockport, TX and the Bay View RV Resort, where we have stayed several times before.
Sunday evening we joined everybody for a Potluck dinner at the Club House, followed by Texas Hold 'em Poker that Terry stayed for, but I returned to the RV. We also re-connected with Ranae and Norm Koyamatsu, who we originally met at Bay View five years ago and have kept in touch since then. BTW, Terry and Ranae were the last two standing at poker, then Ranae got a lucky 'river' card and won! Ranae makes our business cards, which we needed and updated. She did a great job and she also took the best photo of our tropical mural.
On Tuesday, a large group of us from Bay View went to the Big Fisherman Restaurant in Rockport for a fun and very inexpensive, but good, lunch ($2.25 - $7.50) and $1.00 Margaritas...yup, a little on the small side, but good, and you just ordered another fresh one. We could hardly believe that the Tuesday $2.25 special was All-You-Can-Eat Chicken Fried Steak, served with great mashed potatoes and gravy. We both had two steaks each, but I couldn't finish, so I gave the last few bites to Terry.
On Wednesday 11/10 we hit the road for the last stretch to Brownsville. I was so happy to pull through the gates of Winter Haven and finally get the RV parked and set up in place. Home Sweet Home.
