Where I stayed
White Oaks...A Western Horizons RV Resort
I say 'what a difference' for a few reasons. First, because the leveling jacks that are now working again, do make a world of difference in stabilizing the RV. Without them, you'd think we had a "Sasquash" or "Bigfoot" moving around in the RV, but it was only Terry, walking or moving around, even in bed, very heavily, rocking and rolling the RV. I'm sure he could feel my movements, too, but not nearly as much. Now, everything is solid and I hardly can feel any movement.
Another big difference, is the RV park where we are now. It has lots of good features like a lake, pool, clubhouse, activities and is not buried in a forest or the boondocks (about 4 miles to Monticello, IN where there's a WaMart and other shopping, etc). However, it is spread out and we have to drive from where we are parked to any of those activties, or even the bathhouse, which is farther than we care to walk.
The weather has been nice enough, cooler, mostly in the 70s during the day and into the low 50s at night...good for sleeping. Had a couple of showers but not the drenching rain that we had in Minnesota.
Even though this was the Labor Day weekend and there were a lot of RVs here, they've mostly cleared out by now (Mon PM). Nothing special happening for us, just relaxing and taking it easy....really rather boring. Even making S'mores aren't as much fun....but they do taste good!
