    Wednesday we had to catch the 7:30 boat off of the island. We left at 6:00 am (leaving plenty of time to catch the boat). Along the dirt road, the evening rain storm caused the road to flood. A local bus going along the road got stuck in the mud, causing all traffic on the island to come to a standstill. After waiting for 30 minutes or so, a truck with 4X4 offered to take us to the boat and go through the mud. We got to the boat right on time. This boat was much nicer than the boat we took to the island.
    From the mainland we took a taxi to the border. The border crossing was a difficult long process and took us 90 frustrating minutes. After the border we took another taxi to our hotel in Costa Rica on the beach. We got to our resort at about 1 o'clock.
    The first afternoon we went to one of the pools. Just chilling right outside the pool was a huge iguana we named Chuck eating fruit scraps. Yesterday we went kayaking from the resort in the morning. We took a nature walk and a huge crab ran across my foot. We have also spent a lot of time at the pool or at the beach.
