The Ramadan has started and all the Muslims are getting ready to travel to visit friend and family!
They warned me about it, but till I reach the ferry I couldn't really understand or imagine what "you'll be travelling in cattle class" ment!!
We reached the boat and saying that it was packed with people is not even close to the state of that car ferry!! There wasn't even room to stand!
Boxes, scooters, chickens, goats, crying kids, old ladies and a lot of people literally everywhere. There were people standing on the staircases all squashed up, which must have travelled all the way like that!!
The Journey was going to last about 20 hours and looking at the boat I just wanted to cry!
I didn't know how to get in, they had to push me and my backpack in and after climbing some boxes and pushing through the crowd I was very surprised that we actually made it upstairs
I saw another stair going up, me and Jonny looked at each other and decided to give it a try. Once on top the Capitan told us that no one was allowed there, only the crew! I'm not sure if it was because of my terribly disappointed face, but at half way down he called us back and told us we could stay in the front on the bridge :) I was so happy I wanted to kiss him, but I didn't of course!
We put our mat on the floor and we spent the day in the sun, but I really didn't care if I was getting burned, I could seat down (which was fantastic), unlike the poor people downstairs...
At night it was a little chilly, but I loved to sleep looking at the stars in the middle of the ocean..the only thing ruining it was a group of 10 Indonesian staring guys, that have been sitting in front of us the whole time!!

We arrived in kalabahi early in the morning, so that by breakfast time we were on Pulau Kepa, where we had doughnuts and fruit. :D
In Pulau Kepa there is a lovely little resort run by a French couple. The bungalows have a funny shape, you sleep upstairs and during the day you can relax on the hammock downstairs, the food was great with a lot of options for vegetarians ^^ and diving was simply amazing!! I saw a wobbegong shark!!
We were planning to spend there 4 days, but we stayed nearly two weeks ;)
