Hey guys, hope u r all good!
Just a quick one to give an update and hopefully some pics (if they will upload on next page!) Internet is quite pricey, hence why we have been mostly putting things on Facebook with free WiFi in bars.
We are, lovin Ko Tai- stayed here for 3 nights. Off to an absolute gem of an island tomorrow! Ko Nang Yuang (-or something like that!) It is gorge! We visited it today on a boat trip and booked a night there tomorrow night. It is the island that is meant to of inspired the writer of 'The Beach' and it is in top ten beautiful places to see in world!
We went snorkeling today at Shark island and I saw a shark!!!!!!! Was only small but NEVER EVER thought I would get in water with a shark. Turned out I had to stay in water for most the day as the boat was making me feel sea sick! We got ferry over here the other night and I have still been recovering from a nights rocking on the boat plus I had a fair few beers before and on the boat to make it more interesting. Met some German lads we had a good chat with. Fell asleep looking at the clear sky of stars, was amazing. HOWEVER Kev had to practically shake me at 6am to wake me up- me and this German guy dragged a mattress to the top deck and I had fallen into a deep sleep. I was last off boat and was not feelin great at 6am-in dark-with no hotel to go to!
We got a room on beach when the offices opened at 8am. We found 3 cockroaches in our room last night-not good! They are so fast and Kev was stood on bed like a girl while I caught them and killed them! Yuck.
So we've been (after Bangkok) to Hua Hin and had a nice hotel there for 2 nights. It was a nice place but probably a good hol spot for slightly older people. Then got train to Chumphon to get the ferry, this looked like a dive, hence why we scooted off on the night ferry to Ko Tao. This is definitely the place for younger people, everyone is gorgeous and brown! We are getting there (brown I mean) - we realised that high factor suncream is no good for getting a tan. So today I went from 30 to P20 and Kev went from P20 to 8 oil- I started to get colour and well Kev is a bit red on his back but definitely is looking darker.
After 4days we were glad to get out of Bangkok- it really is so busy and hectic and the traffic congestion and fumes were over powering, I started to see why so many Thais wore face masks to walk around! ha. We went in a sky bar one night and the views were breath taking, 34th floor. Also we had one night in Hard Rock cafe (everything else was closed as it was Chinese New Year) but ended up havin a fab night as there was an amazing live band on.
Anyways must go- got to try and upload these pics, we haven't quite worked out how to do our videos yet but hopefully we'll get there! We update Facebook at fair bit too so sure you've read and seen pics of other stuff we've been doing.
Lots of Love
Gemz and Kev xxxxxxxxxx
