The Full Moon Party over on Koh Phangan was absolutely awesome, there is nothing quite like 30,000 people grooving away on an island beach. One word of advice to anyone that's never been - GO!!! Nic and I, wearing our bikinis, danced til dawn in prime podium positions, and needless to say we were still feeling pretty fragile a few days later.

As much fun as we had on Koh Samui doing nothing more stressful than deciding what cocktail to drink, I'm kinda glad to be back in Bangkok and moving around again.

On Saturday we took the sky train out to Bangkok's weekend market, a place that makes Sydney's Paddys Market look like a suburban garage sale. It took us the best part of a day to see what was probably only a quarter of the 8000+ stalls. I bought some great clothes, jewellery, thai silk and a hammock for when l just feel like hanging around (God I'm funny)...

That night we did the obligatory trip to Khao San Road (a full-on backpacker hangout), ate some amazing spring rolls, fish cakes and corn from a street stall, bought our fake student and press photographer IDs, and feared for our lives in the back of a tuk-tuk. Those drivers have no fear of death I'm sure of it - their resolve to play chicken with much larger vehicles is amazing!

Yesterday we took a canal trip on a long tail boat and saw some of what river life is all about - kids swimming, women washing and men fishing, while today we walked around the city's temples and a bit more shopping (come on, we are girls afterall).

Tonight we hit the red light district of Patpong for a bit of ping pong action...
