Where I stayed
Not sure if Bangalore is still the same now vs in 2001. I have heard that this city is so crowded now and would look very much different, considering in 2001 the place is very rural and peaceful. Dont forget to pass by the Shiva Temple where you can see the very tall statue of their god shiva. Also, visit Bannerghatta National Park - Its actually a zoo and inside the park, you will see the Animal Museum, must try the safari bus tour to see some tigers roaming around without the cage. worth visiting the Govt museum, High Court view, and the Bangalore Palace (very nice but not open to public, so be content with the magnificent outside view. Not much to see in Bangalore though, so you better go to Mysore. Among the interesting places to see: Nandi Bull of Shiva on Chamundi Hill Mysore, Jaganmohan Palace (art gallery), Chamundeswari Temple, The Bird Sanctuary - you may also wanna try a boat ride to see the birds. dont put your hands in the water coz its also a crocodile infested river, hah! the boat man says its safe!, visit a catholic church - St Philomena's Church, Lalitha Mahal Palace turned hotel and restaurant - try having your lunch there so you can roam around inside the palace, so can even look at the king's room btw. and of course, the Famous Mysore Palace. I get so enjoy my visit in India... hope to visit Taj Mahal next time. ;)
