I love cool, crisp air that revitalizes your spirit and provides energy for life. But hey, when we went there, it was awfully cold, too cold for comfort. I didn't remember Genting being so cold. It was foggy most part of the day, and either drizzling or pouring at night. But still, a couple of days away from the kid and work is heavenly. We had an eye opening experience in the casino where we saw our elderly throwing their silver dollars away like there's no tomorrow. No more money? Not to worry. ATMs are conveniently located within the casino premises. Banks are on standby at all corners to loan you the money. The hotel was jammed packed with tourists on special gambling trips from all over the world, but of course, mostly from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other Asian countries. Even if they offer travelling packages for free, Genting would have earned back many more times of their costs. Come to think of it, I should have bought a huge chunk of their shares. It's a no-brainer.

Anyway, we soon found many more things to have fun with apart from gambling. We visited the famous temple down the hill and made some donations for lanterns. I found a highly enlightening book there which contained all the rightful values of the world.

We took an exhilarating cable car ride, the longest in the world, all the way down hill. The flora and fauna was exciting. A new attraction had sprung up at the foot of the hill. In the small shopping centre lies the interesting 'Animal Kingdom' where we got to see exotic and unusual animals like the hedgehog, giant millipedes etc.

I must remember not to take up Grassland Express for subsequent visits to Malaysia. Realised their services and facilities may not be that great after all. We would stick to our regular travel provider - Konsortium or Gunung Raya.
