Hello..
We woke up at about 7:00 this morning so we could get a good headstart on our search for the Toll House Oma used to live in. It wasn't a nice day today..really cold, I could have worn mittens. We were biking so we got there faster, but the wind was colder that way.
We made it to the Palace Soestdijk after checking out the downtown area. We met some guy from Ohio whose wife was Dutch and hadn't been back to Holland in 23 years. She didn't stay for long, but I was hoping she would know where this damn toll house is because nobody else seems to know what we're talking about! We looked around a bunch of roads to try and find it, but with no luck at all...at least we think not anyways, we took a picture of one house we thought might be it, but it's kind of doubtful...this house was also at the end of the long lane in front of the castle, and I thought that they lived closer to it. Anyways, we didn't it find it so sorry Oma!
After that we just stopped at this awesome bakery and had the best sausage rolls I have ever tasted in my life (Dad if you think you can become addicted to the ones you get in you should try these...and they warm them up for you in the oven so they're crispy...sooo good).
We just got back from the sand dunes and they were pretty amazing. It so weird to walk from a forest into hills and hills of sand..It just doesn't seem to make sense.
Anyways, I'm running out of time here, so I'll post some more later!
Love, Chelsea & Robert
