First official day in Queretaro...We rented a car for a day and drive around Queretaro. J showed me around and took me to a local market for some fresh Mexican seafood. We got some cocktail shrimps in a glass and some shirmp soup. Added some tapatios y muy sabrosa!!!

After lunch, we drove to Santiago de Querétaro and wanted to see the Pyramid of El Pueblito. However, it was closed for the day. We could only take pictures from outside. Then, we visited la casa nearby El Cerrito...the security guard showed us around and told us some stories about the family who lived there.

I've learned there is a main square/hub and church in every town of Mexico where people gather, shop and eat. So we chilled and got some homemade ice-cream @ the main square of Santiago de Queretaro.

We went back to Queretaro to do more sightseeing. There were many historical buildings which were preserved quite well. La Casa de la Marquesa is a famous historical hotel here in the heart of Queretaro. The architectural design is full of colonial beauty where once was a private residence. They were all colorful and beautifully built with Spanish design. We also saw the Queretaro Museum of Art and the Temple of San Felipe, etc.

As we walked by the church, we saw a beautiful girl having her Quinceañero. She was so beautiful and I couldn't help taking a picture with her.

Although Queretaro is quite small, there were churches all around town. In the evening, we had the most delicious dinner @ the Latern casa!!! Steak was so juicy and tender that I fell in love with this restaurant. After dinner, we walked around the night market, bought some souvenirs and had dessert. The square was busy at night with lots of stalls. We saw people dancing Capoeira on the street too! how kool! Finally, we finished the night with drinks, music and friends @ a few bars. That's was my first nightlife experience in the real Mexico. :)
