Why does the mention of this mere idea bring such joy to our hearts?? Adventure?? Excitement? Embarking out for the great unknown?? Well, not unknown anymore, but unknown to me, at least. I have always been absolutely fascinated with maps. Or perhaps it was the 7th grade social studies project, where my best friend and I scoured through pages and pages of AAA tour books, had to budget for gas, lodgings and found the coolest places to visit and explore, that gave me the travel bug early. Or, having a Dad who drove for Greyhound Bus Lines, took me on trips to New York City, Bar Harbor, Maine and other remote and enticing places. This blog explores this great nation of ours, making stops at fantastic, well known natural locations as well as quirky, fun places you've never heard of. I hope you enjoy reading about it as much as it was fun doing in a VW Beetle and one of the tiniest campers around!!
