As we are catching a flight to Uruguay tomorrow, we are spending our last night in Rio at the airport hotel. We arrived a little early so have toured the airport terminal and taken a few photos for your viewing pleasure, including one from our hotel 'window'. Imagine our surprise when on pulling back the curtains instead of seeing Brazilian sunshine we discovered an English Autumn.

We are REALLY looking forward to getting to Montevideo...

ps. Here's a photo of me having a drink for our friend Martin's birthday at around 8pm Brazilian time, when the Balham guys will have been out celebrating in London!

Message from the cold!
Great to catch up with your news and of course to have spoken with you yesterday. For some reason I couldn't get onto your photos yesterday but a lovely surprise to see all the photos on this cold, wet morning - a little sunshine to brighten the day.
Two nativities and the carol service down - two to go plus a pantomime and disco. I must have been mad to agree to the latter!
