After another dodgy nights sleep, adjusting to the time difference, we made ourselves some Pop Tarts and jumped on the subway for another ride to the island!! First off, we went to visit Grand Central - it might sound strange wanting to see a train station but it really is just the most wonderful, impressive building, inside and out! Someone said that when you walk off a train and into that great big hall it feels as if 'you've ARRIVED', and my God it does, what a sight, I was quite awestruck!
Anyway, after wandering around for a while, we headed to the Rockerfeller Centre, which is just a huge complex, with lots of offices, places for people to eat, and right in the middle, outstide, is an icerink! We watched a very talented little girl twirling on the ice for a bit! They must be making a huge amount of money off that place!
Then, we decided to get ourselves another deli sandwich, and on the way, bumped into a petshop!! Full of the cutest puppies I've ever seen!!! But at $2000 a pop, I suppose they'd better be cute!
To Central Park to eat our sandwiches, which is lovely, it's such a nice novelty to hace such beautiful greenery in the middle of a place that chock-a-block with buildings! And one that has such friendly squirrels is pretty good too!
After another stroll down 5th Avenue, we headed to Times Square - brilliant!! Another fantastic tourist attraction that really lives up to expectations, and is definately worth seeing! After a couple of hours walking around, in and out of shops, mesmerised, we bought ourselves some chocolate and caramel popcorn and headed on back, nicely knackered from such a busy day!
