Ok so Rome wasn't built in day, but I did attempt to visit the city in one weekend, just 2 and a bit days. Bumping into a lot of Americans, traffic and the cobbled stones I pounded the pavements to discover real Italy and the beauty of Rome.
Venturing out of Milan's grey skyline to a much brighter one, I had found Rome! wow it was amazing, but every corner I turned there was an American for a minute I thought I'd gone to NYC by mistake, I hear there are something like 50, 000 americans alone just living there - let alone or the tourists I bumped into. My favourite place was the Fontane di Trevi featured in La Dolce Vita - wonderful film and what a wonderful, inspiring fountain.
