Hello all, maybe one of my last Merhaba's!
This morning it was already 25 degrees at 8:30 when I came to work.
So you can imagine my journey on the full bus standing and smelling the
armpits of the other men standing on the bus with me!
Last night I HAVE to open the windows in my appartment as it was so hot.
Sleeping with no covers, I made the mistake of falling asleep with
the window open. This morning I woke up finding I had been eaten alive
by those wonderful blood-quenching insects. They even managed to get me
on the soul of my foot (so everytime I walk I feel it), and on my head
(so people think I have some strange twitch each time I keep itching my head!).
The last weekend passed I was in Istanbul and I made a film of the trainees
in my job and of Istanbul the city itself...I hope most of you will see this.
We filmed in the Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, AyaSofya, in my workplace and of
course in the bars drinking beer!
Here are some words from me to you about my time in IStanbul:
Trainee: Charlotte Evelyn Joyce
Traineeship: Istanbul Bilgi University, Istanbul, Turkey
Loves: Cherry juice 'vişne suyu' & smoking water pipe 'Nargile'
Hates: Those crazy taxi drivers
Famous for: speaking 'sweet' Turkish
Check-in date: 3rd October 2002
Check-out date: 30th June 2003
Length of stay: Nine months
Will miss: gorgeous weather and drinking bira for 75 pence (1,750,000 TL) with my Polish friend Jan :
Ready for departure: no way
SOnra görüsürüz. see you later (in UK)
