Kampuchea House is an Orphanage founded by Australian Les Stott. This year my school Westbourne Grammar School has raised $50,000 for them to build a community center which will serve as a community kitchen, a school and a general area to play.

The community center is the latest project at Kampuchea House which is located 30mins from Siem Reap in a village called Dom Dek. Already present at KH are two houses, at least one of which was donated by Wesley Collage. Currently being built is a third house which will function as a library and staff offices.

Both times i have been out to KH i have helped Les and fellow volunteer Tom flatten the ground using good old fashioned backbreaking, blister enducing labour. And of course playing with the kids is always a hit
