We are stuck in the Athens airport tonight as we wait to fly to Istanbul tomorrow morning. We couldn't afford the $200 dollar hotel room for 5 hours sleep, so we are suffering through the night. We hope to be in Istanbul by 9:30 on Monday. Should be fun.

In the mean time we have come up with some mid-trip awards. We have been going for two months, we can't believe it. These are our thoughts on the places we have been so far.

Lessons Learned: Being gone for a few months isn't as hard as we thought. You really can make clothes last a long time without smelling funny. The night train is not as good of a deal as you might think. English really is the universal language. It is always good to hear from home. Charlie's hair is really curly. Money doesn't go as far as we thought. Spending your life savings to see the world is probably worth it. It cost about $1.50 to send home a postcard. Everything you buy cost a ton because then you have to ship it home. Kelli learned that she can carry a backpack even if it weighs a ton. We feel better when we eat better. The more you sleep the more tired you get. The benefit of work is you actually have money to play with. Our travel log is fun when people actually read it and respond. We want to see as much of the world as we can.

Whoo Hoo, we won the vote!
I'm thrilled that I actually won something. I was beginnning to feel very unlucky. I'm so glad that you're still enjoying your journey. I get so excited when I read the next entry. I hope you both have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'm sure your list of thanksgiving has grown through this experience. Be safe and know your in my prayers.
Paige
