Monday, October 15, 2012

We had another night in Chiang Mai before catching our 10 hour bus back to Bangkok so we grabbed some pizza and chips and we had a few drinks. I managed to face time my mum, nan, sister and Hannah which was cool.

We headed out with the Irish boys and grabbed a few drinks in a bar full of hookers and lady boys! An experience in it self.

We took a tuk tuk (all 7 of us fitted into one) and then the guy wanted 20 barts each. Not sure what happened but it kicked off and Micky got punched so we quickly left.

We walked to another bar and got a drink and we were messing around and i chucked my drink at Micky but it misses him and hit a lady boy who was not too impressed to say the least. Rather than getting beaten up by a lady boy we quickly left and went back to the wagon cart outside our hotel! We carried on drinking to the early hours and before we knew it, it was time to pack up our stuff and head for the bus station. With yet again no sleep we got burger and chips at 7am and jumped in a taxi to our coach.

We boarded the coach and soon realised we would not make the 6pm connecting bus to Phuket. We met a lovely Thai girl who rung up the tour company and helped us to re arrange everything. One of the agencies had put the wrong time on our ticket which meant by the time we got the Bangkok we missed our coach to Phuket.

So we spoke to the tour company who was unable to get us on another coach and the next coach wasn't leaving until tomorrow evening so we decided to pay extra to fly to Phuket. Looking back now we should have just flown with the boys! Never mind.

We got given free accommodation and discounted flights so we checked into out hotel.

The room is probably as big as my bathroom back home. It had a small double bed and a shower room. It had air con so couldn't complain. Plus Charlie and I hadn't actually slept in a bed for a night since we arrived 6 days ago!

We headed out down Koh San road which was nice, looking like proper backpackers (hot, tired and looking like crap) we headed for KFC! We were sick of noddles and spring rolls so this was sooo good to have and only about £2!

We went back to the room got changed and headed for a cocktail.

We bumped in to Danny we had met when we first arrived in Bangkok so had a catch up with him and headed back to the room for a good nights sleep!

It was nice to finally get some sleep even if i had some cray dreams about ants trying to eat us. Poor Charlie had to slept not to this!

We are now waiting for our taxi to Bangkok airport for our flight to Phuket and looking forward to some chilling time on the beach!

Until next time...
