Last stop in Canada, Vancouver. I didn't know this but Vancouver is known for its rainfall... and scarily enough it's worse than London! On the plus side, there are beautiful rain forests, and went to Capilano on the first day. They have built a huge suspension bridge across a river with a great view of Capilano park (although the wobbly bridge is not great for people with vertigo..). The trees are over 800 years old so that's pretty impressive :)

Vancouver is a very young city, about 125 years old, so architectural-wise there isn't too much to see. Granville Island for example, is very popular, but I felt like I was missing the point. It had some nice shops and galleries but the place itself looked pretty dreadful - I suppose the rain didn't help. This was part of my 3 hour bike ride to discover the city, and it rained non-stop. I didnt let that stop me though and was well prepared so never mind :) Only have a very dirty jacket is the bike didnt have mud guards :s

Nature is beautiful here, for example Stanmore Park is an amazing forest right next to the lake, with the mountains in the background. There are also quite a few totem poles with the meaning of sach element explained. They are actually replicas as the remaining original ones are often preserved in musea.

Back to the USA in the morning, 5am start, scary !!
