It has been 12 years since I saw the Grand Canyon, and I was massively impressed all over again. Extremely lucky with the weather, the snowstorms had stopped and the clouds mostly cleared, so we had brilliant views. Last time it was about 40�C and I was able to sleep outside without a tent (until a giant spider came to wake me up but never mind, that's a long time ago and I'm so over that now! :) ) Anyway, now it was about -1�C and snow at the tops, beautiful! As I froze the day before I bought snow boots and snow trousers to survive the cold, and after Vegas it's only going to get colder, wrong time of year!!

Well It's hard to describe the Grand Canyon so see photos and then in real life it's 10 times better! Everyone should go to see it... Saw some elks close up as well and was hoping to spot a mountain lion but didn't see one (only on a wall in a diner but that's not quite what I had in mind :s

Btw, you'd all be very impressed if you'd know how my patience is tested with uploading these photos! :)

This is really breathtakingly beautiful. I was there during summer so it's very interesting to see in your pictures how different the landscapes are in winter. Nature shows so many different faces! Enjoy them!
