We were up and out on a walk pretty early this morning. We took Sophie and Lucy to the River Trail, and I highly recommend it for all bikers. I wish we had had more time; we would have biked for sure. However, the girls enjoyed getting in the river for a cool down; it was very hot and humid out there. We returned to Karen's to clean up, then we went to lunch at Delicious Temptations where we had a wonderful, healthy lunch. After bike shopping for Karen, Ted and I had to head out. We hated to leave such a dear friend, but we were thankful for the time we were able to spend with her. Once again we hit the road, this time for about seven hours. We passed the 1,000 mile driving mark today, and only our second day out! This is going to be a long trip! We are now in Boonville, Missouri, and we are just 2 miles from the Katy Trail, so tomorrow we are on the bikes early. Can't wait!
