¨...and so the end is near...¨ why is it I keep hearing Frank Sinatra?  Only a couple of days to go before we fly back to sunny Britain.

Well, we`re back where we started, in Buenos Aires and it`s very hot and muggy.  Spending time just chilling out and catching up on a few more tourist spots.  Back to the famous Recolleta cemetery, this time to join the throng that surrounds Evita`s grave.  Then a few more markets and up and down the side streets. Watched some of the mothers of the disappeared marching defiantly round the main square - a reminder that the country has not recovered fully from the horrors of the death squads that ruled the land back in the seventies.

It has certainly been an amazing year, hard to say what the highlights were as there have been so many, but my real favourites have to be camping at 5000m and waking up in a blanket of snow, watching monkeys leap and chatter all round our forest home, taking a bus up to the highest heights and watching condors lazing on the drafts below us, feeling the earth shake on the flanks of a volcano and walking in the footsteps of dinosaurs.  And, of course, all the people we have met - many, many kind and helpful folk and a dash of complete nutters.

Very much looking forward to going home and catching up with family and friends.  From now on we`ll be communicating by email only.  Hope you`ve enjoyed the site as much as we`ve enjoyed the adventure.  Big hug, Chara & Al
