Well I have arrived safely in Frankfurt. I have a 4 hour layover before I head to Nuremberg. I absolutely never recommend anyone to fly with a sinus infection. I almost cried harder than the baby two rows ahead of me. The last 20 minutes of the decent in on both my flights was extremely painful. I looked like a guppy trying to get my ears to pop, which they absolutely refused to do. I am now partially (and hopefully temporarily) deaf in one ear. I'm doing a lot of staring when I get commanded around in German. Surprise of all surprises, it is impossible to read lips when it is a language you don't know. I tried, then just told them (yelled, I'm deaf) that I can't hear or understand them. Making great impressions.

My flight was generally uneventful. I took Motrin PM not too long after take off and tried to win against the PM part. I was unattractively unsuccessful. In one very strange moment during the night I woke up basically face to face with my seat mate, he seemed unfazed by this. So god only knew what else I was doing. I did wear a hooded jacket and some pretty baller sunglasses all night.

My next flight is only 40 minutes of pain and then I get to meet up with Melissa! No more flights for over a week so my goal is to not have exploding sinuses by then. We will see how it goes.

More later when I've not been solely in airports.

Love,
Catherine
