Woke up this morning to a lake outside the yurt and it was still pouring down with no sign of letting up, any plans we had for the day were dashed. Ran thought it would be a great idea to head back to Tom's, but we managed to avoid heading over too early in the day - it would have been frought with danger.
After a quick cuppa and a bowl of Cheerios inside the yurt, there was no chance of a fire today. We decided to head into Lakewood to check out the sports store; this joint had a huge range of baseball gear at ridiculously cheap prices we browsed around for about an hour, Chang eventually picked out a couple of nice sluggers and made his purchase. Ran took us up the road to White Castle for lunch, tiny little burgers but they don't taste too bad.
We finally succumbed to Ran's demands and headed back to Tom's Tavern, for a couple of afternoon pints. There was no special on Fridays, so we had to pay $2 - friggin highway robbery. We didn't stay too long before heading back to camp, the rain had not eased up all day but at least the yurt was dry inside.
With no way to cook and being well and truly over fast food, we decided to go out for dinner. Back to Lakewood we headed to Ivy League Sports Bar, we had a short wait before getting a booth and had a nice meal which included vegies, always a bonus over here. The prices were reasonable and the serves weren't massive so we didn't waste any.
We returned to the yurt to sit out the night listening to the rain on the roof before hitting the bunks. Camping out was fun, it was a shame about the weather on our last day.
