Hi, San Francisco Bay Area, I am back. Yes, after 2 years and 9 months, I am back, America. What? In the news there were people got shot in his car, or were stabbed to death, and there were people killing people with guns in the Federal Courthouse in Las Vegas? So nothing has changed. Well, that's ok. I still love you.
But to be truthful, I think I am lost, in my own backyard. Back then, went I was traveling, there were always plans. I know what I needed to do next. I was in control. But now, oh my god, Lonely Planet does not have a book that tells me where to find a job, or if AT&T’s mobile is a better deal than T-Mobile’s. The environment has changed, and I need time to get use to it. It is not exactly an enjoyable feeling.
To look back, I know I have been very lucky. People that I met, that I traveled with, were mostly nice, helpful, friendly, beautiful people. None of my belongings has been stolen, I didn’t get sick, not even once, and my total expense was below budget, which was 2000 USD a month.
Travelpod told me that I have submitted 75 entries and traveled thru 68 cities in 23 countries, quite an experience. I enjoyed it most of the time, but as I told you right from the start, I didn’t do this to find myself, or to prove something. I did it because I wanted to go see a part of the world that I haven’t seen before. I did that, and I returned unchanged. Some of you may believe that I have missed a chance to improve myself somehow, but it’s ok. I am constantly being changed by a longer journey called life.
