Got to montevideo via the Colonia de Sacramento where I didn't stop (I am so stupid yes !) and wen to a hostel in the old city centre.

I met some very nice peoples, hostels are cool to meet travelers (obviously) ! I'm am very much for a bike ride and then some beach. But, the bikes are all gone by the time I’m ready, so...Then we went with Julien to town, look for the buses to salto and Iguazu. Then, I finally got some FlipFlops. Last desesperate trial to repair the camera. Of course, it fails. On the way to the shop, we eat a wonderfull Chivito : a small piece of bread, a giant steak (but very tin), an egg, ham, cheese, some tomato and lettuce. Delicious ! We then took a walk along the sea road towards the beach. My new flipflops where a bit hearting me, so i took then off and when on barefoot. And then, for like 30 secs, I looked at my map and suddenly I feel something soft and glitchee under my foot : Yes, I just walked into a giant dog shit, the only one in the whole place ! I though, from now on, bad luck should just stop. We went on tot he beach, which was empty. It is not very nice, but the sand is good. The water looks very dirty and the beach edge was full of waste, so we just took a nap in the sun. We continued to walk along the cost, but where dissapointed to  see that the coast was just ideous city. We went back tot he hostel and had one more asado !

I again start to doubt about my plans to go to punta del este, I actually don’t want to go to the beach, I wanna see something, do something. SO, let’s go to Iguazu directly... YES !

The asado is nice and we finally are like 10 people having a beer and discussing. Pretty nice evening.

OK, now luck finally came back (due tot o pooop !).

Saturday, 31.03, morning, 3:00.

I really want to leave the cities and get tot he iguazu falls. But how ? Flying ? no, too expensive. Going back to Buenos Aires and then take the bus ? Seems ok, so I go for that. But it is (350+500) Ar pesos. But I so much want to leave that I think, aa feck it ! But then comes this american guy : Are you sure you wanna pay like 100Us$ just to get back to Buenos Aires ? I’m like, well it ist he only way... or, I could travel over salto and so on.... Let’s see. Hmmm, to salto, 600Ur pesos, that’s cheap. And then bus to concordia and bus to Iguazu... A bit of an adventure, but some people on forums say it’s ok. So, let’s try it ! But when to leave ? There i seither 6:30 or 12:30. With the 6:30, I have to get up early, and I will probably have to wait some time in concordia, but it ist he sure way and I should be early on in Iguazu. 12:30 is more risky, and I get later to Iguazu, but I could sleep longer and by some food and beverage fort he trip... Ok, let’s go for 6:30, I anyway have to travel for a whole day.... But during the short nap till 5:30, I begin hesitating again, of course.

Saturady, 31.03, morning 5:30

The hostel guy wakes me up. I am still hesitating. 6:30 or 12:30 ? So I begin with breakfast, and finally turn on my computare again seaking advice. I found a wiki about salto which stated that the last ferry to concordia leaves at 19:30, i.e. too late fort he 12:30 bus. OK, so let’s go. But it is already 6:00 ! So I run, ask the hostel guy for a taxi and in a hurry grab my bag. Check out in 2 sec, still have to pay the asado from yesterday, so i’m left with only 100 pesos. Tell the taxi driver, he says ist ok. Get to the bus station, and the taxis cost 107 pesos : I give him 100 + some argentinian coins. Fine, let’s get a ticket, it is about 6:20. Run tot he first counter : Where ist he bus to salto (in broken spanish of course and very stressed) ? Go tot he next counter please. Ok, same thing at the next one, so continue to run until the desk of Nunez : oo no, like 15 person waiting... shit shit. Ok, aks them if I can ask a question, pass before everyone. Do you have a seat left for Salto in 5 mins ? NO. Ok ok, let’s run to the platform and ask the drivers if they have a leftoverseat. Runnin, and running. Ask 3 guys, must sound like a crazy. Finally, one helps me. Then ask of course to pay 600Ur pesos the ticket. But remember, no money left ! So I tell him I have to withdraw. He says ok. I leave my bag there on the floor with a little bad feeling. Run tot he end oft he terminal where I know there is an ATM. But no, it was the wrong side. So let’s run tot he other side again. Finally, got my money and run back  tot he bus : but which one was it ? I run like a crazy. Finally, a guy caches me and tell something about a bag... Oh, yes my backpack ! Good, He did put it in the car. And so, finally, I sit in the car to salto, with even an empty seat next to me.

I got to salto in time and then could catch a bus to concordia. ONe hour later I was in concordia and got lucky one more time : I got the last bus ticket to Iguazu ! I had a little stay of about 6 hours, so I went to town and sat down in the Mafalda. I had and orange juice and just talked with the barmen Ortega. I felt like in a movie J. I could taste some cool fried balls filled with cheese : Chipitas. FInally I go the bus to iguazu : Cama. For these who don’t know you this, ist like in the airplane first class. Super awesome, I slept like a baby.
