Finally on our way out of California. We hit the road pretty early and made our way out the 15 toward Vegas. We stopped in Baker to try out this Mad Greek roadside diner. These guys are boasting the best Gyros in the USA so we gave it a shot. I'd never heard of this place but I think they might be a chain but I don't know

. Anyway, it was a damned good Gyro. Super big too.

I had to snap a pic of the worlds largest thermometer while I was there in Baker. It's 134' tall. Like Farth said..."good photo op" for the blog.

Ha! The pic shows it to be 35C....that's about 95F and damned hot. I guess we better start getting used to these temps as we head into the South later in the roadtrip.
