One of our biggest worries was that we weren't sure how the pets would take to living in a RV and living out in the country. It's not like we have an enclosed backyard anymore. Our pets were raised indoor/outdoor. The cat (Sugar) would use the cat door in our house to go in and out. Chula, our dog will just whine at the door to let us know when she wants in or out, but we didn't know what Sugar would do without a cat door. Turns out the cat is pretty smart! He stays out mostly all night hunting and whatever. Then he sleeps all day in our closet. This works out pretty good for us since we are working all day When he wants to go outside he scratches on our screen a little bit. When he wants in he meows and bumps the door. He's only gotten into one fight so far with some kind of animal about his size. It was too dark to tell what type of animal it was but it attacked him and all hell broke loose. Lots of white hair but the only blood was of the enemies. I guess whatever it was couldn't penetrate Sugar's arctic coat and took off running.
We did get a cat leash for Sugar to use on the road. He hates it of course. We also got a litter box. I did a bit of research about traveling with cats on the RV.net. Lots of people pull this off successfully. Hopefully that will be the case with us.

Wow, thanks for including me on the blog. I've never blogged before. I think your trip sounds wonderful. I was wondering what was to be done with the pets but looks like you've got it under control.
Best of luck!
Love,
Deb
