We woke up around 9:00 a.m. and got ready to go to Versailles. To get there we had to take to trains and we got there in 30 minutes. The ride was nice, but some of the view wasn't. In the way to Versailles you get to see a lot of poverty, and I didn't think it was that bad. We saw the real French ghetto. For a moment I felt as if I were in some poor neighborhood in Colombia. During the whole ride four different Muslim women were passing little papers and asking for money, I guess it was a prayer or something like that. I didn't get one, so I really don't know what it was.
Versailles was beautiful, and as soon as we got there we rushed to the ticket counter, but the museum was in strike and we didn't get to see it inside. Instead we walked through the gardens. The place is so big that we ended up renting bikes. After a nice morning at Versailles we went back to the hotel to take a nap.
In the afternoon we went to mount Saint Michelle, to visit the Sacre Coeur church. To get there we had to climb a lot of stairs, what a work out! Once up there we walked around and discovered a very cozy plaza where artists gather to paint. It was very beautiful. From there we went to the Dali Museum. The place is beautiful, but not really my stile. Nevertheless, Chris was very please with all the art in there and of course he took for ever to see the whole museum. After seeing all the crazy art from Dali, we went to the Moulin Rouge to take a picture of it, but what a surprise we were able to get tickets and see the show. We were very exited; the show was phenomenal. I really recommend the show to anybody.
Caro!
