Our first day of exploring the uninhabited islands of the Galapagos did not disappoint. Beautiful views of rugged cliffs overlooking the ocean were amazing. The lack of fear in the animals is a new experience for us. We hiked along the nesting area of the albatross where the young birds unable to fly are as interested in us as we are in them. Baby sea lions playing in the surf and marine iguanas sporting their Christmas colours are too cute to resist but of course we are not allowed to touch. This was also our first introduction to the blue footed boobie.
