Up and dressed for the beach we headed down the many stairs to the shoreline stopping at a water side restaurant to have our large meal of the day, mostly local seafood... with our personal marine biologist on staff identifying each fish on the display platter.
We strolled around and spent a bit of time at the water's edge soaking up the pleasant sun with the cool air temperature making it quite comfortable. The intriguing alley ways display brilliantly colorful flowers in terra cotta containers, unique uses of painted tiles and art work like "found metal objects" imbedded in the stone wall entry way to one residence
One mystery is what seems like cannon fire from atop the nearby mountain periodically through the day and evening. It will be part of our quest tomorrow to figure that out while heading to town to catch a bus for Positano.
Dad has come back from his grocery store mission empty handed (must be closed on Sunday) so we stretched a meal out of pasta with a little butter, left over mozzarella, a couple of basil leaves we tucked away from a restaurant meal and two small cherry tomatoes diced as small as can be.
Turned out rather tasty and no one was at real risk of going hungry. We ended the day with a game of Big Dalmuti and some lemon tart. Dad predicted he’s end up the Big Ass yet he started with a first round win to which Mom exclaimed “Hey, this is my bundle!” misspeaking but effectively suggesting she should get to win as this is her “bucket list” trip. An enjoyable few rounds with Dad impressively winning one hand laying down the '1’ as his winning play, but alas his prediction was correct as he was indeed Big A for the final round.
