As with every officer in the SAAF the time finally arrived to complete one of the two most dreaded courses in the SAAF - Junior Command and Staff Course.  The aircrew generally hated these courses as they had to do with administrative processes and were considered a waste of time.

I was however pleasantly surprised with the course.  I found it informative and well structured especially with all of the visits we did to local industry and to the various Air Bases. 

I did not think it was as much work as everyone complained about, especially after finishing a tour at Nav School and having started my tour at 16 Sqn.

It was great fun and I made really good friends.
