Went to Northampton by bus from Victoria Station on London. The journey took us about an hour. Arrived at Greyfriars Station at 5 pm. The weather was freezing cold. We had to hide behind a building to shield ourselves from the punishing wind. Owhh, forgot to inform, I went there with my beloved husband for a 3 days training course.

We finally got a cab to our accommodation which is the training venue. We were really tired that day. There was 2 hour delay to the bus that took us to Northampton, prior to that we had killed time in a kebab joint for about 2 hours as well. But all our whining and complaint subsides when we saw the place we were going to stay for 4 nights. Sedgebrook Hall.

Omigod even without daylight we knew that the surrounding was breathtaking. The hotel were as picturesque as we had seen in the pictures online. The receptionist were warm and helpfull. The room were clean and comfortable.

Breakfast buffet was good, and we did explore the grounds a bit and took pictures like paparazzi, haha. We can see wild rabbits every morning from our room. Totally enjoyed our stay there and the course was an eye opener too. Sedgebrook Hall is one of the Principle Hayley Hotels & Conference Venues. I saw some other location in the Hayley brochure which are breathtaking as well.

I pleaded to the trainer to go to Northampton Town for a while. I ran out of lotions. I didn't know that my skin could get so dry! Back in Malaysia, a bottle of lotion will take me years to finish it, but while I was in England for a week, I had used up 2 bottles of lotion! Okay back to my short trip to the town. I like Northampton town. Not too big and busy but complete with everything you are trying to find. There were some stalls selling off seasoned gloves, jacket, and warmers. (since it's already spring, I think) It was really cheap. Me and my husband bought a sweater, cardigan and gloves.

We left Northampton for Paris on the 4th day. Our trainer, booked us a cab to Luton airport, and we said goodbye to Sedgebrook Hall. I don't know if I ever get to come back to Northampton. But I really had a great time.
