Tina and I made it home safe and sound. Our flights were smooth and on-time. What a bonus! I did arrive in Michigan hearing of several inches of snow and bad roads. And guess what? That is exactly what I found last night at 11 p.m. I decided to brave the roads however and made it home around 1 a.m.

Yesterday sitting in the Guatemala airport, Tina and I were discussing our trip and remembered a couple experiences we had to share. When we were at lunch in the converted Monastery, they served us sushi before bringing our main dishes. I have always turned my nose up at sushi, however I decided to be brave and go for it! I think it may have been Tina's first time too - not sure. It was okay but I wouldn't want to make a steady diet of it. I felt very brave. :-)

And on the drive back from Antigua we saw an interesting site. A guy had pulled his motorcycle over and was using the road wall as his toilet. There wasn't much room for him to pull over and the road was 'dug' out of a mountainous area, so we passed by pretty closely. It was one of those things we couldn't really believe was happening as we sped by! I guess, when you've got to go, you've got to go! ;-)

I've included a couple more photos - one of the lobby of our hotel and a couple of Tina and I. And as a finale to my first trip to Bella, I've uploaded another little movie.

Thanks again for sharing our trip! Eva & Tina
