15/11/05: Townesville was nice enough but not that much to do - spent the night in a bar watching the Socceroos quality for the European cup - a bit of a mad night! Drank too much "lager lout" beer and paid the price the next day!

17/11/05: Magnetic Island: Took the ferry over to the Island, which was beautiful. Hired vespa scooters for the day which was so much fun. Toured around the various coves and beaches, Picnic Bay and Horseshoe Bay were very lovely. Went for a bushwalk to the Fort, which had lots of the outhouses and buildings still in existence from WW2. Magnetci Island is the biggest natural koala sanctuary in Queensland, and there are approx 200 wild on the island, and we managed to spot 3 in the trees on our walk!
