Hey Guys

On Saturday we went to Acadia National Park. We went with all the international students.
About 16 of us went. We hiked 3 mountains in total. The views were breath taking and the serenity was amazing! It was pure silence. The first 2 mountains were easy. No sweat.
The next mountain was huge! We all had to stop several times and wait so everyone could catch up and catch their breaths. The terrain was rocky and unsteady. It was so steep and really tricky to climb. It was really exhausting. My back was totally drenched in sweat. I could barley breath at times!! Pretty insane. We stopped at each look out. The views were spectacular and you knew the higher you went the better it would be. It was all worth it when we go to the top. A beautiful view of the Atlantic ocean.

We stopped at the top and ate lunch. It was freezing. Jordan and I had our winter coats on, jumpers and I had gloves. Our hoods were up to protect us from the freezing cold wind.
We continued on and the instructors took a wrong turn. We went down the mountain for 15 mins and then they realized it was the wrong track. The track is marked out by blue marks on the rocks however there is no different color to distinguish differ tracks. There are 3 or 4 different tracks, so it's really easy to get lost. Getting down the mountain was tough on the legs. The trick is to walk like a crab on the side. It was like the matrix getting down! After we finally made it to the bottom it was back in the van and we were on our way home. The only thing about riding our bikes everywhere is after a day like that, your legs are sore as and you need to ride home!! Good exercises I guess!

That night we walked into town and had Margaritas Mexican. It was just what we needed after hiking all day. The next morning we woke up and rode our bikes to the tennis courts.
I couldn't play as my leg was really sore. I fell, when we were hiking and don't think much of it. After running on it, my leg was really sore!! We had to ride home and it was off to the pub for some relaxation! My leg is still sore today. I am going to take it easy this week, just see how we go! I will have to miss horse riding!! Boo.

Jordan is leaving in 10 days time. We have a really busy weekend planned, I'm really glad Jordan is here for Culturefest- which is a massive International event at the university where everyone is encouraged to show their country. Jordan and I will be at an Australian exhibit table. Lucky for me, my brother has sent me over some really cool things to represent us Aussies! There is also a lecturer at the campus who has lived here for 8 years, who will bring along all his Aussie things.
Jordan and I have to show some kids how to play cricket. That should be fun! Really looking forward to the big event. Oh,,,,, and Halloween is on Monday too! Lots of party's and trick or treat!

Miss you all!!!
