G'day guys.

We are stuck in the hotel room as Hurricane Irene is due to hit us today.
It's supposed to be the worst hurricane to hit the east coast since 1991.
Scary!! Not really. It won't hit us to bad. But the rain is very heavy.
We have a balcony in our room and we have been watching the rain and the wind, it's actually been
quite nice. But we are a little bored, reading books and watching TV.
Today we did a session at the gym to work off the pizza's we had last night.
There are some really cute bars, 3 pizza places, sushi place and some other restaurants all near the hotel. To get to the down town area, we cross a beautiful river surrounded by lovely trees. It's so picturesque.

Still no luck with housing.
We went to look at a Fraternity house which was disgusting.
It was about 20 rooms, downstairs and upstairs, shared bathroom and shared showers.
I don't know how I feel going to the bathroom covered by a shower curtain.
Also kitchen was filthy. Rent was cheap however we had to decline.
The other placed we have looked at have not been so good- one was
to expensive and the other was sharing with 2 mature age students, who have done  like 4 degrees and 3 masters programs, no TV, no phones.... oh and the women's 2 children would visit every weekend.
So we said no.

Tomorrow my classes start- I have Animal Nutrition and Human Metabolism. Exciting. I'm all set with my books and ready to go! Than we are off to look at another place.

The place sounds really great.
It's a 6 bedroom, 2 bathroom place. There are 2 exchange students living there, a football scholarship junior and another girl from Thailand. It's $600 a month which includes everything and I think we will take it!!
I can't wait to see it, as it's been frustrating not being able to find something, but I think we may have hit the jackpot.

This weekend is the first Football game for the university. The stadium is huge and I think we will buy tickets and go!

That's all for now. I will let everyone know about the house!
Lot's of love, miss you all.

P.S: I have ordered my bike and its estimated time of arrival is Thursday.
Jordan and I will have the sickest bikes in the whole town, probably the whole state of Maine.
