Running in the Zona Dorada

I'm pretty glad I did this run, the malecon (beach promenade) is really well maintained and a perfect place to run, and I'm not the only one of this opinion: this appears to be a popular runners spot. Unfortunately after about 30 minutes my legs and my feet are not feeling so good so I have to walk back. Oh well, this is a good opportunity to take a few photos. Here they are.
It's been way too long since I had a good cardio work-out. This morning nothing could stop me (except maybe rain which makes the pavement slippery). I got up early and I'm going for a run. This is a good opportunity to discover the Zona Dorada of Mazatlan, the neighborhood North of downtown where almost all the tourist hotels are. I can understand why - the beaches are nicer and safer than at the daunting "Playa Olas Altas" where the surf is really strong and crashes directly on the rocks. However this Zona Dorada doesn't really do it for me. Ok, it has the beautiful beach, it's cleaner, it is sprinkled with Palapa bars and restaurants... but the road along the beach is way too noisy and has a lot of traffic. The sweet smell of exhaust fumes on a morning run...
