Saturday 5 August
Up at 8 shaved, had big breakfast, checked my mails, bus station to meet Magda at 11. Brought some cheese and bread and bus to some local hills raining cats and dogs. Leant Magda my coat as she only had light waterproof. Did a really lovely walk through forest up an old castle and pagan site. Great views...normally, it was completely fog bound. Strange weathered stone pagan animal with sun carved on the under belly. Into a very quiet cafe bar for a couple of drinks and Ced-made sandwiches, Walked back down hill and caught bus back to Wroclaw. Magda got off at her stop and I got off at the terminus but didn't recognise where I was so back to main square to retrace steps back to hotel. Showered, yes 2 showers in 1 day and made up the rest of the sandwiches for Magda and me for breakfast, then out to brewery. Had a couple of drinks then contacted Max as he was out and about, no answer so contacted Beata, no answer, so texted Magda and she sorted it out. Met Max in Niebo for a drink then at Literary bar met Beata and her 4 friends (1 couple married and 1 about to be). The men seamed really miserable and the women talkative, but perhaps that was the English situation. Went into another bar and Max chated to Beata so I was feeling a bit left out so turned to drink, walked over table to get to toilet and telling crap joke. The couples and Beata left so me and Max went to a great night club. Feeling slightly sloshed, sent Magda a text and forgot about it, talking drunkenly to locals as Max was on dance floor, Max left so I went for a solo dance. Usual situation 6 very attractive girls and 50 men. Asked one for a dance so we salsad till her family who were keeping an eye on procedures wanted to leave, well it was closing time. Arranged to meet next day at fountain at 1730. Went to order last drink as other locals were getting served, but got refused. Feeling really thirsty, so went for a wee, found a water bottle, filled it with water, found I was in ladies so left. Got lost so after 2 hours and walking with people leaving church got a taxi. Taxi wouldn't start so driver opened bonnet and made some repairs and took me back to hostel at 0830 where Magda had already started work.
Sunday 6 August
Up at 1, joined Magda for breakfast, she refused my refrigerated sandwiches so I ate them later while recovering lying on bed. At 1600 Magda took me for a drink with her best friend in a Spanish restaurant. He'd just been sacked from air traffic control in Holland so there were a few stories. He had a good sense of humour so we had a laugh, girl from previous night didn't turn up so me and Magda went to Niebo - again. Had a chat for a few hours drinking wine then joined by daddy (Magdas nickname) and 2 others 1 of which was turning 30 who were drunk already, so they brought a round of vodkas and became drunker. The 30 man left, man who wasn't danced with Magda and myself, but mostly Magda. Daddy and the bloke tried to leave so I had to help them on with there coats. Daddy decided to stay and we drank till 11 when we said our good byes he grabbed Magda and fell over onto Magda knocking a table and drinks over with a great smash. I was waiting outside for it to calm down and Max turned up so walked Magda to bus stop passed badly staggering daddy, but bus had gone so she caught a tram and I went back to Niebo. He took me to this really cool club and drunk so got back at 5 after not getting lost as Max showed me the way. All my dorm room were up so a bit of banter then to bed.
Monday 7 August
Up at 9 and joined Magda for breakfast. Magda was feeling tired so didn't appreciate me having a conversation. The hostel owner in from Krakow was out and about so everyone was on high alert but still a good atmosphere with lots of old friends Id met before. Brought a stranger T-shirt then onto station for train. Train journey was a bit strange, I felt really bad and my fellow passenger lay on seats and I was tempted to join him but I was in the security position. In Poznan it was tipping it down so went straight to main square for the hostel - shut, then to student accommodation which was full so they pointed me to Dizy Daisy hostel which was cheap but unfriendly. Went back to the main square and found a brew pub, ate got slightly sloshed, then back home to bed after number 2 with no roll.
