Caught train to Grossburgwedel where Harrys mom and dad met me on the platform. Drove to their home in Fuhrberg where I'd stayed many times in the past. Ate a meal with wheat beer, had a chat. Harry's dad went to dentist and returned. Walked the 6k back to Grossburgwedel station just missing the train so spent an hour watching the ICE trains go past at high speed. Caught train (double decker introduced especially for the 2000 expo and retained as they were so popular) to Hannover, walked to Harrys spent the night in watching Brazil Japan game.
Fri 23 June
Usual brecky, exercises and run for 4.30 when Harry, Rudi (a work colleague) and Christa arrived. A quick beer then drove to Kiel (north Germany on the baltic sea twinned with Coventry!) for Kiel week, a sailing regatta. Loads of traffic jams with lots of boats on trailers the journey not helped by the fact that Alexa now nicknamed trouble was misbehaving.
