Friends of Ilja are starting up a B&B in the Sierra Nevada called Cortijo del Inglés. It was still under construction and the shower didn't work, so the EUR 50.- rate seemed a bit steep... but it was interesting to see and hear how they were working on it, and building their life towards moving there fulltime.

They also have olive and fig plantations, they had huge quantities of delicious figs.
And in the evening they cooked us a lovely dinner for EUR 17.50 which was convenient because the nearest town is miles away over a sand road.
