We moved on from Wilderness for our 3 night stop at Plettenberg Bay Game Reserve.  A lovely rustic lodge right in the middle of the park.

The weather here although warm has unfortunately been very wet and dreary but we made the most of chilling out, reading books and I have even had time to get my hair cut!

We had 2 fantastic game drives in the Park where we saw pretty much everything; zebra, wilderbeast, horses, springbok, all types of antelopes, rhino, giraffes, lions, crocodiles, hippo and buffalo.

The giraffes became clear favourites; 2 females, 1 male and a gorgeous baby just 3 weeks old.  They were often found sheltering in the bushes on the driveway to our lodge - they also had the cheek to just stand in the road and stare at us!

We also saw the 2 female rhinos on the one day and then were lucky to see all 5 of them for a quick family gathering yesterday.  Th females/males came out of the bushes down the hill, had a meet and greet and then headed in their seperate directions.  Managed to get a shot of them all together.

On one of our days (as there wasn't much sunbathing to be had!) we went to Monkeyland and saw 9 of the 11 species they have there.  We wandered through the forest with our guide and crossed the longest suspension bridge in South Africa (128m).

After Plett, we have travelled to Port Elizabeth for our final stop.  The rain continued non-stop yesterday throughout our drive and was quite tricky at points.  We stopped off at Nature's Valley for a quick veiw of the mountains (we didn't fancy a walk very much!) and then we headed to Storms River Mouth - a stunning opening in between the mountains which leads out to sea.  You can stand directly over it by crossing a suspension bridge.  Although we didn't get the views, with the rain and the mist there was something quite mysterious about it.

Now in PE just chilling out before we head to Sydney; apparantely there's some rugby match on today (??!!) so we have located Barney's Tavern to watch it in.

Anyway, that's all for now.....lager drinking and rugby watching to be done!

Lots of love
