Firstly, I've gotta say, Norwegian air-hostesses are HOT!  Well, that's not entirely true.  The stewardesses on Scandinavian Air, let's just say that they must have a good EO policy.  These were some of the oldest women I've seen working the air.  They were however super professional and courteous enough.

Norwegian Air hostesses on the other hand looked the goods, BUT their uniform was outrageously HOT!  Maybe it was just the fact that they wore black leather gloves...

My first glimpse of Tromsų through the airplane window was absolutely breathtaking.  I'm so glad Diana insisted that I come this far north for a visit. Diana was there to greet me at the airport in Tromsų and it was lovely to see her smiling face after over a year!

The start of summer here in Tromsų also means that there is sun 24x7.  This was very cool at first, but soon it is totally disorienting.  I have no idea what time of the day it is or what meal I should be eating.  Sleep is best taken in short naps throughout the day as sleeping for an 8 hour stretch while the sun is up seems almost impossible!

On Friday, I drove on the right side of the road for the first time.  It is so much harder than I could ever imagine!  Driving on the left is so second nature that every intersection I came to required a 'stop and think' approach.  The scenery here is also so distracting - every vista looks like a postcard or a picture you'd find on a Lindt chocolate wrapper!

We went for a drive through some lovely country, saw reindeer and beautiful snow capped peaks feeding into a beautiful expanse of water.  Diana and I went to ride some horses and were suprised when we got to our destination to find something sized between a pony and a horse.
These 'horses' are related to the 'native' horses of Norway (and Mongolia apparently) but they look like they've shrunk after being left out in the rain.

Oh, something for my nephew Jacques!
