Sunday
Today we picked up our campervan and headed to Port Douglas via a camping shop to buy extras for the van. Wicked don't provide anything except a plate, bowl, cup, knife, fork, spoon, saucepan and frying pan which was so disgusting you wouldn't cook your dog's dinner in it! The van is that old it has a choke (Julie didn't even know what this was for or how to use it!).
We drove to Port Douglas with someone illegally lying in the back to go to the sunday market. We got there just in time. Port Douglas is where the money is and is a very expensive area but a very peaceful town.
Monday
Today we were due to start our trip but somehow Mum and Dad had booked an extra night at the apartment so we had one more day of luxury - thanks!
After a tearful farewell to Mum and Dad we potted around Cairns. Cairns has a really nice feel to it - somewhere you can chill out really easily.
That night we saw the Mummy 3 which was okay - we think this may be our last visit as we have a very strict budget from now on! Oz is soooo expensive. For example, a loaf of bread cost $4 - 2 poundish. Oh my god!
