After our yummy complimentary hotel breakfast, Tito Buddy and I went back to Monterey Bay for a daylight visit. We stopped by the Ghirardelli shop for some coffee, also to buy treats for family and friends in Southern California.
It was going to be a long drive home, we planned to take the scenic Pacific Coast Highway and also view the well-known 17-Mile Drive.
The 17-mile drive began in Del Monte avenue in a residential area; the actual entrance was not for a few more blocks. This 17-mile stretch loops around, the first half is of the coast, and the remaining half is inland with what I can assume is full of shady trees (we did not go this way). We took only the ocean half with frequent picture stops like: Bird Rock, The Lone Cypress, and The Ghost Tree. Exiting towards Highway 1, we drove by Pebble Beach and Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Comments
Of course...
we both know that The House of Seven Gables in Monterey Bay is not the one popularized by Nath Hawthorne.
