Forced to spend a couple of nights here waiting for the boat to Solentiname but accommodation options were limited to pricey but poor value for money or cheap & not cheerful.

Paying $15 a night for an average room with bucket shower and one cable channel in English, especially as the power was out for most of my stay, pissed me off.

The small town was OK, very traditional, except for the swanky new malecon and with nothing to do but stroll around and check out the old fortifications with views over town.
